Product Description

Clematis 'Snow Queen' produces large, white flowers with a delicate mauve tint that fades gently. This clematis looks its best in early summer, with a second bloom in late summer, often striped with pale pink. 'Snow Queen' makes a superb companion climber, but is equally stunning grown alone in borders or containers. For best results, choose a sunny or semi-shaded spot and plant deeply in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Position the root ball 7.5cm below soil level to encourage new shoots from the base. Clematis dislikes very wet or dry soils, but these can be improved with well-rotted manure or garden compost. When planting in containers, use a good quality soil-based compost.Train your clematis onto a suitable support like a trellis, wires, or a freestanding climbing frame. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. ‘Snow Queen’ flowers in summer on new stems grown from the previous year’s growth. Prune Group Two clematis in spring before growth begins, removing any dead or damaged stems and cutting back remaining stems to a pair of healthy buds. Mulch with well-rotted manure or garden compost in spring to protect the roots and conserve soil moisture.Ideal for patios, walls, fences and cottage gardens. Hardy. Position in sun or semi-shade. Height: Up to 300cm. Spread: Up to 100cm.
