Acer palmatum 'Ryusen'

The extreme weeping habit of Acer ‘Ryusen’ makes it a brilliant choice for small, narrow spaces. The branches sweep down almost vertically from the main stem and can be trained to create a horizontal canopy before being allowed to cascade. The palmate foliage emerges brilliant chartreuse in the spring before deepening in the summer. In autumn, Acer 'Ryusen' turns into a fabulous cascade of red, yellow and orange accompanied by red-winged fruit. Even through the winter months, its tracery of pendulous branches continues to provide a graceful feature in the landscape.
