Albizia julibrissin 'Tropical Dream'

This stunning variety of the Silk Tree is distinguished by its large, vibrant pink flowers, selected from a batch of seeds by the plant collector Johan Possemiers. Compared to the species, it boasts deeper pink blooms and is one of the hardiest varieties, flourishing even in colder winters. Albizia julibrissin 'Tropical Dream' grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub or small tree with an umbrella-like shape and feathery, mimosa-like leaves. The leaves fold up in the evening and reopen with the morning sun. From July to September, it becomes covered in a profusion of fragrant, fluffy pink flowers that resemble silky clusters of threads. With its unique flowers, attractive foliage, and extended blooming period, 'Tropical Dream' makes a striking addition to small gardens or large patio containers, offering an exotic touch.
