Perfectly suited as a feature in a conservatory or on a bright windowsill, it can also grace a warm patio during the summer months.The citrus fruits can take approximately a year to mature, offering the pleasure of home-grown limes, packed with vitamin C. Ideal for juices, jams, and chutneys, they're a fantastic ingredient for cooking and baking. Alternatively, freeze the whole fruit for a refreshing, ice-cube-like addition to drinks. The attractive fruits also provide a lovely ornamental display.Plant in a container or pot using a blend of ericaceous compost and a neutral, soil-based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Ensure the plant is repotted at its original soil level, firming well into the new container. Water thoroughly and position in a well-lit area, away from cold draughts and radiators (4-12°C) - a conservatory is ideal. If frost-free, the plant can be placed outdoors from May to October.Water generously in summer and mist the leaves daily to increase humidity and deter pests. Feed every two weeks with a citrus plant fertiliser. Before frosts arrive, move the plant back indoors. Reduce watering in winter, but avoid letting the plant dry out completely, as both overwatering and underwatering can cause fruit drop.Position: Full Sun or Partial Shade.
