Juniperus pfitzeriana 'Gold Star'

Juniperus pfitzeriana 'Gold Star' is a dwarf, spreading conifer that will swiftly create weed-suppressing ground cover as well as clothing tricky areas such as dry, shaded slopes. The arching branches are covered in scaley, vibrant golden-yellow leaves and during the colder months, if grown in a shady position, the foliage becomes yellow-green. A development on Juniperus pfitzeriana ?Aurea?, ?Gold Star? has a lower growing habit and more vivid yellow foliage. A robust, fuss-free variety that makes a great choice for low maintenance positions such as front gardens or areas with tricky soils, including shallow chalk. For an attractive contrast of colour and form, plant Juniperus pfitzeriana 'Gold Star' alongside vertical, darker-leaved evergreens. Height: 60cm (2ft) x 1.5m (5ft).
