Product Description

The Ronseal Total Wood Preserver is a general-purpose interior wood treatment specially formulated to kill woodworm and prevent rot and decay. This clear wood preserver is ideal for pre-treating indoor timber before overpainting, working effectively on both rough and smooth wood surfaces. Designed specifically for interior use, this treatment penetrates deep into the timber to provide lasting protection against common wood-damaging pests and fungi. The clear formula allows the natural appearance of the wood to show through whilst delivering essential preservation properties. Note that this product does not waterproof timber and is only suitable for indoor applications. Before application, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from existing coatings such as paint, varnish or stain. Where timber shows signs of decay, remove all affected wood to at least 45cm beyond the damaged area and replace with sound, treated timber. The preserver can be applied by brush, spray or dipping - with dipping recommended for end grains to ensure complete penetration. Apply a minimum of two coats, covering all faces, sides and joints whilst paying particular attention to end grains. Allow 24 hours drying time between coats. Once the second coat is dry, repairs and gluing work can proceed. Avoid contact with bitumen, bitumen felt, mastics and plastics. Features and Benefits: • Kills woodworm and prevents rot and decay in interior timber • Clear formula suitable for overpainting once dry • Versatile application methods including brush, spray or dipping • Works on both rough and smooth timber surfaces Specifications: Type: Wood Preserver Colour: Clear Size (L): 5
