Bartoline All Purpose Filler Powder 9Kg Multi Purpose Powder Filler is specially formulated for repairs to plaster, plasterboard, wood, brick, stone and most other building materials. Ideal for preparing surfaces before painting or wallpapering. Use Multi Purpose Powder Filler to fill cracks and holes in walls, ceilings and around door frames and skirting boards. Multi Purpose Powder Filler gives a smooth surface perfect for painting or wallpapering. Easy to mix, simple to use. Does not shrink. Has excellent adhesive properties which keep the filler firmly in position. Easily sanded, giving a smooth surface which will take nails and screws when set. Suitable for exterior use providing it is sealed with paint or varnish when dry. Preparation: For best results brush out loose material and dust from crack or hole to be filled. Hairline cracks should be slightly enlarged to ensure good filler penetration. Moisten absorbent surfaces with water. Touch in nail and screw heads with an oil-based paint to prevent rusting. Mixing: Only mix an amount that can be used within 40 minutes. Add approximately 2.5 parts filler to 1 part cold water and mix to a stiff paste. Use a thicker mix for deep cracks/holes. Always mix the filler in a clean container as dirty containers can affect the drying time. Application: Do not use externally when rain is imminent. Apply filler with trowel or filling knife and press firmly into cavity. Smooth off slightly proud of the surface and when dry rub down with sandpaper. Finish: Dries white. Can be overpainted or papered, without priming. When used outdoors protect the filled area from rain and water during setting, then seal with an oil-based paint/varnish to protect from weathering.
