Jaider Esbell - Tembeta

The Tembeta collection brings the trajectories and reflections of great indigenous thinkers in Brazil, in books that bring together essays, statements, and interviews.Tembeta is the first collection of books about indigenous thinkers in the world. This volume's honoree is Jaider Esbell, a renowned visual artist and writer who, in his work, dialogues with Makuxi culture, revitalizing the myth of Makunaima. Jaider Esbell passed away early, at the age of 42, in 2021, after becoming one of the most important contemporary visual artists in Brazil, with an internationally recognized work.
