The Notorious Massacre At Calabar In 1767

In 1767 British merchants from Liverpool and Bristol perpetrated one of the most brutal incidences of the trans-Atlantic slave trade when they joined a conspiracy with merchants at Calabar to murder rival slave traders, also residents of Calabar.Over 300 survivors were enslaved.
