The groups third studio release, Buhloone Mindstate released onnbspSeptember 21, 1993, saw the group evolve into a new sound as theynbspcontinued to grow stylistically and musically.There were several moments on the album which proved the band had matured.nbspI Be Blowin was a departure as the track was an instrumental featuringnbspsaxophone playing bynbspMaceonbspParker. The introspective I Am I Be showed De LanbspSoul at their most selfreferential to date. Long Island Wildin was a collaborationnbspwith Japanese hip hop artistsnbspKannbspTakaginbspMajornbspForce and trionbspSchanbspDaranbspParrnbspSDP. The albums first single, Breakadawn, used a sample of MichaelnbspJacksons I Cant Help It and Smokey Robinsons Quiet Storm.De La Soulnbspcollaborated for the first time withnbspGangnbspStarrsnbspGurunbspon Patti Dooke, and femalenbspMC Shortie No Mas who was prominent on many tracks on the album andnbspshowcased particularly on In The Woods.
