Just A Few Folk34, JP Coopers longawaited third studio album is released on 31st October 2025 on Island Records.Produced by Cam Blackwood, and cowritten with Mr Hudson, Simon Aldred, Jamie Hartman, RRY and Neil Ormandy, Just A Few Folk is a beautifully crafted body of work, recorded entirely to tape at renowned London analogue studio Toe Rag Studios. The album speaks of everyday stories and experiences family bonds, personal relationships, intimate moments. Diamonds and Gold is a soulful dedication to his wife, while Sad Song reframes heartache. He reflects on memories of growing up in Middleton, Manchester on Waiting on a Blue Sky, and the lead single Summer of Love blends retro soul, 70sinspired grooves and JP Coopers signature rich vocals.Speaking about the inspiration behind the album and its process, JP explains This record feels like a turning point for me I wasnt thinking about radio, labels, or what might work, I just followed my dopamine. It was important to us that this album felt as human as possible, especially at a time when so much of music and art is being shaped by AI. So I took the band into a studio with no computers, only tape, everyone played together in one room. Just A Few Folk is the most personal collection of music Ive ever made, and I hope when you listen, youll feel the same freedom, humanity, and joy that I felt while making it.
