Today, the beautiful county of Northumberland is framed by the Tweed and the Tyne, but these Refections On Northumbria are inspired by the bountiful treasures of the North East region of England. Raised in Northumberland, Willie Dowling has long since been an exile from the area, though the North East is never too far from his thoughts. Inspired by the amazing work of local landscape photographer, Anthony Roffe, Willies childhood memories came rushing back, and he was galvanized into writing music to reflect the stunning locations of his youth. With a musical legacy grounded in pop and rock songs, aligned with being in huge demand as a composer for film and TV, Willie has distilled the essence of his classical symphonies into mini orchestral overtures.
