The upcoming album is a followup to their acclaimed debut Junun, which just celebrated its 10th anniversary.While Jununwas recorded in a makeshift studio within the 15thcentury Mehrangarh Fort in Rajasthan, India, Ranjhawas created in a more intimate settingJonny Greenwoods studio in Oxford, England.To mark the 10th anniversary of Junun, which received widespread critical acclaimincluding Album of the Year honours from The Sunday Times, who called it one of the most inspired releases of the year and intriguing, sinuous, and essential listening BMG released a special reissue of the original album on 16th January 2026.The making of Jununwas also documented by acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, offering an intimate look at the creative process and vibrant daily life during the albums production.Ranjha, set for release on 8th May 2026 will be available in on special Red amp Coral Splatter vinyl in Gatefold Sleeve and CD. The album features 11 brandnew tracks, blending the groups signature crosscultural sound with a contemporary edge. It arrives on the heels of the highly praised Radiohead tour which concluded in late 2025.
