Bursting onto the scene with her trademark raunchy lyrics and in-your-face attitude, Lil Kim proves once again why she's the original bad b**** of rap. The album kicks off with the infectious “Custom Made (Give It To You)” featuring Sisqo, a playful banger that sets the tone for what's to come. Lil Kim's unapologetic bravado shines through on tracks like "Hold it Now" and "This Is Who I Am", where she confidently proclaims her dominance in the male-dominated world of hip hop. One of the standout tracks is “Came Back for You”, a poignant and personal reflection on Kim's struggles and triumphs in the industry. The raw honesty in her lyrics is truly refreshing, showing a vulnerable side to the usually brash and fearless rapper. While not every track on The Notorious K.I.M. hits the mark, with some feeling a bit outdated and lacking in originality, overall the album is a solid effort from one of the OGs of rap. Lil Kim may have been in the game for a minute now, but she's showing no signs of slowing down. Long live the Queen Bee.
