Product Description

Ah, the Bee Gees. The kings of disco, the princes of falsetto, the masters of white suits and chest hair. The band that brought us classics like "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever" are back with a reissue of their early album "Spicks & Specks" on white vinyl. This album is a time machine back to the Swinging Sixties, where the Bee Gees were just starting to find their groove. The title track "Spicks & Specks" is a catchy pop gem that showcases the brothers' tight harmonies and knack for a hook. It's a shame they didn't stick with the Australian slang for the rest of the album - we could have had hits like "Bloke with the Lightning Fast Boomerang" and "Throw Another Shrimp on the Barbie." The production on this reissue is crisp, the vinyl quality top-notch. It's like hearing the Bee Gees play in your living room, if your living room had a disco ball and a mini-bar stocked with John Travolta's favourite cocktails. The only downside is that the album doesn't come with a white suit and gold chain - you'll have to supply your own if you want the full Bee Gees experience. Overall, "Spicks & Specks" is a must-have for any Bee Gees fan. It may not be their most famous work, but it's a fascinating glimpse into the band's early days. So dust off your platform shoes, put on your best polyester shirt, and get ready to boogie down to the sounds of the Brothers Gibb. It's disco fever, baby, and the only prescription is more Bee Gees.
