Opening with the iconic lsquoGoodbye Yellow Brick Roadrsquo from Elton John and followed by Paul McCartney amp Wingsrsquo Bond theme lsquoLive And Let Diersquo, this epic beginning to this journey back to 1973 continues with a run of massive GlamRock infused hits from T. Rex, Mud, and 1s from Wizzard, 10cc, lsquoCum On Feel The Noizersquo from Slade and Sweet with lsquoBlockbusterrsquo. Flipping over to Side B, therersquos an aweinspiring run of legendary artists John Lennon, Paul Simon and Elvis Presley, plus the debut single from Bruce Springsteen with lsquoBlinded By The Lightrsquo and timeless signature releases from Billy Joel with lsquoPiano Manrsquo and lsquoYoursquore So Vainrsquo from Carly Simon. LP2 starts in sophisticated style from Roberta Flack with the peerless lsquoKilling Me Softly With His Songrsquo, before Marvin Gaye ushers in an incredible lineup of Soul smashes including from Harold Melvin amp The Blue Notes feat. Teddy Pendergrass, The Temptations, The OrsquoJays and Ike amp Tina Turnerhellip whilst on the reverse side, 1973rsquos biggest seller Dawn feat. Tony Orlandorsquos lsquoTie A Yellow Ribbon...rsquo leads a fabulous EasyPop run including massive hits from Shirley Bassey, Olivia NewtonJohn, and 1s from Peters amp Lee, Gilbert OrsquoSullivan and lsquoEye Levelrsquo the theme to one of the yearrsquos most popular TV shows by the Simon Park Orchestra. The second LP closes with three of the yearrsquos stellar Soul ballads from Diana Ross, Billy Paul and Gladys Knight amp The Pips.
