Newly remastered release of Toyah rsquos 1982 silver selling album lsquoThe Changelingrsquo. The release continues the reissue programme of Toyahrsquos entire Safari Records catalogue. Produced by the acclaimed Steve Lillywhite , the album features a lineup of Toyah Willcox vocals, Joel Bogen guitar, the late Phil Spalding bass and the revered Simon Phillips drums. The album also features guest synthesizers keyboards from Andy Clark David Bowie rsquos lsquoScary Monsters And Super Creepsrsquo, member of BeBop Deluxe and Simon Darlow . The brass section from Haircut 100 also feature on lsquoStreet Creaturersquo. lsquoThe Changelingrsquo is the darker, more grownup sequel to the previous yearrsquos goldselling album lsquoAnthemrsquo. lsquoThe Changelingrsquo entered the UK Top 40 in June 1982, peaking at number six, it spent 12 weeks on the chart was awarded a silver sales certification. The album was preceded by the single lsquoBrave New Worldrsquo, which was accompanied by a David Mallet directed video recalling Bowiersquos solarised lsquoAshes To Ashesrsquo promo, but with Toyahrsquos unique and memorable hair, makeup and performance. The album also includes the muchloved fan favourite lsquoAngel amp Mersquo, the dramatic, horror movieesque lsquoThe Packtrsquo and irresistibly melodic, rallying cry of lsquoDawn Chorusrsquo. lsquoThe Changelingrsquo has been remastered by Nick Watson from the original master tapes and approved by Joel Bogen, and further endorsed by Steve Lillywhite. The album is available on strictly limitededition neon pink coloured vinyl, reflecting the striking colour of Toyahrsquos ethereal hair from the back cover and in the lsquoBrave New Worldrsquo video. A new colour inner bag design features rare imagery plus an additional fourpage facsimile of the LPrsquos original insert contains the lyrics to all ten songs on the album plus additional poetry by Toyah Willcox
