Roger Waters - Dark Side of the Moon Redux Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Roger Waters, the former Pink Floyd frontman, has decided to take on the daunting task of reimagining one of the greatest albums of all time: The Dark Side of the Moon. In his new release, Dark Side of the Moon Redux, Waters attempts to put his own spin on the iconic album with mixed results. From the opening track, it's clear that Waters is trying to capture the magic of the original album while also putting his own stamp on it. Unfortunately, the end result is a muddled mess of overproduction and lacklustre vocals. While some tracks, such as "Time" and "Money," manage to maintain some of the original album's energy and power, others fall flat. The instrumentals feel forced and the vocal performances lack the emotion and depth that made the original album so memorable. Overall, Dark Side of the Moon Redux is a valiant effort from Waters, but ultimately falls short of capturing the magic of the original album. Fans of Pink Floyd may find some enjoyment in this new release, but for most listeners, it's hard to shake the feeling that this is just a watered-down version of a classic. Pitchfork Rating: 5.6
