Emerging from the creative crucible of the capital, and comprising of members from or involved with Fat White Family, Meatraffle and Pregoblin, Y is a genredefying band founded by Adam Brennan and Sophie Coppin during aperiod of isolation. The duo discovered an uncanny synergy in their musicmaking, blending shared tastes with contrasting stylistic approaches. This paradox birthed the eclectic, unpredictable sound that defines Y playfully described as wonk rock, Gameboy thrash, and even Egyptian wedding music.
