Nicorsquos second solo album, 1968rsquos lsquoThe Marble Indexrsquo, and third solo album, 1970rsquos lsquoDesertshorersquo, have long been out of print. These reissues include audio mastered from the original tapes and previously unreleased photos of Nico by Guy Webster.Coproduced by her Velvet Underground bandmate John Cale, 1970rsquos lsquoDesertshorersquo, like much of Nicorsquos early work, has grown in stature with the passing of time, and, alongside lsquoChelsea Girlrsquo, is generally regarded as some of her most accessible work.
