Intelligence veteran Logan Callahan begins to suspect that his own misguided loyalty has made him an unwitting pawn in an international espionage conspiracy, leaving him hunted by a hostile foreign government and abandoned by his own. Logan Callahan is a military intelligence veteran simultaneously haunted by memories of Afghanistan and desperate for a reason to disrupt the monotony of his new civilian life as a restless doctoral student in Washington, DC.
