Conté À Paris Pastel Pencils Have A Harder Lead And Less Pigment Than Soft Pastels. They Have A 5mm Diameter Lead, And Are An Ideal Complement To Soft Pastels As They Are Perfect For More Detailed Work. In Contrast To Soft Pastels, Pastel Pencil Should Not Be Added In Successive Layers Of Colours, But Used As Pure Colours Laid Out In Patchwork Fashion Side By Side (so As Not To Dull The Shades).
