It was designed by Toshikazu Kayano in the late 1980s. It was his premier design project with ASICS. The structure laminated leather upper is also paired with bright colors that match the iconic uniforms of NBA teams at the time. We've enhanced the cushioning system with our FF BLAST technology. The sculpted shape of the heel enhances underfoot comfort on a daily basis. The outsole pattern is designed to reflect the view of a city from the sky. This practical grip feature was inspired by the premier business trip the designer took to the USA in 1987.
