With the increase on touch screen reliance for both phones and sailing instruments, the tip of the index finger is touch screen friendly. The palm of the hand is layered with an abrasion resistant, grippy fabric for pulling on sheets and holding on tightly to the tiller or wheel. Hook and loop adjustment plus elastic secures the glove onto your hand, while the elastic cord at the hem closes the opening tight around your wrist.
