When you move, Polartec® Alpha® insulation breathes and wicks moisture away from the body. When you stop, it keeps you warm, while lightweight, windproof and water-resistant 20D ripstop fabric on the torso, arms and upper arms protects against wind and rain. Inside, an active Polartec® Alpha® Recycled membrane with a special fiber structure combined with a solid mesh lining that releases excess heat while providing thermoregulatory protection against the cold. The soft, snug sleeves are made from comfortable Polarlite fleece in a grid construction that provides breathability and warmth with minimal bulk. Ideal for fast hikes, they easily pull up when the weather heats up, and the discreet thumbholes provide extra coverage in cooler conditions. The same material is used for the center back panel, which provides maximum ventilation when wearing a pack.
