Optimal rim width inside: 25-35 mm Application: XC, Trail Surface: Hard, worn • Loose on hard • Dirty FUNCTIONS - Multi-directional lug grooves provide improved traction, whether you're pedaling, braking, or cornering. The grooves also improve grip on wet rocks and roots by increasing the number of working edges on each lug that contacts the trail. - Generous spacing between the lugs allows mud to slough off the tire rather than sticking to the tread. The open spacing ensures the lugs are always in contact with the trail rather than covered in sticky mud. - A multitude of short knobs allows the Ranger to provide comparable traction to other tires, but without the rolling resistance associated with tires with massive knobs. This makes the Ranger an excellent tire choice for XC or trail riding. - TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is WTB's standardized tubeless system. These tires feature a TCS tubeless casing that virtually eliminates punctures and allows for lower tire pressures for improved traction and comfort compared to a traditional tubed tire. TCS Light Cassing One layer of flexible casing adapts to the terrain to ensure maximum performance, exceptional reliability and low rotating mass. DUAL DNA COMPOUND Dual DNA is the perfect blend of performance, traction, and durability. The center tread has a harder rubber compound that provides faster rolling and increased durability, while the sidewalls are made of a softer, slower-rebound rubber for improved control and grip. Configuration: LIGHT FAST ROLLING A harder, faster, and more efficient tread compound is used in the centerline of the tire. The sidewalls and lateral knobs are coated with a softer compound designed to be compliant yet trail-worthy. SG2 TCS Light single-ply mountain tires are available with SG2 puncture protection. SG2 is a lightweight nylon ply that protects all areas of the tire with an additional level of puncture protection. SG2 bead-to-bead technology also improves sidewall stability and overall tire support without the added weight of a Tough (two-ply) casing. The flat nylon fibers in SG2 reduce the amount of rubber needed to fill the gaps between the fibers compared to traditional round-fiber protective plies. The increased fiber-to-rubber ratio increases puncture resistance while reducing weight and improving flexibility compared to our Tough casing. Independent laboratory testing has shown that Bead-to-bead SG2 provides 80% better sidewall protection than traditional single-ply tires without SG2.
