Guru Skimmer Hollow Wire Pole Float - 3.00g

The Skimmer floats have been one of the most popular in the Natural Range, in both our carbon and wire-stem versions. As usually though, with the floats becoming more popular, anglers have been asking and wishing for the same versatile body shape that works so well, but with a different bristle material in the way of a hollow plastic. Having this ‘hollow’ version in both the wire and carbon models of these floats opens the pattern up to use with even more baits, more angling conditions and in different situations. The hollow tips are super visible and can be seen in all light conditions, but also offer a little more buoyancy in the tip for supporting bigger baits such as pellets, corn, and worms in more challenging conditions. Often in poor winter light, anglers can struggle to see a dotted-down tip, but a thicker hollow will glow up perfectly! The 0.5g, 0.75g, 1g, 1.25g, 1.5g and 2g floats come fitted with a 1.5mm bristle, while the 2.5g, 3g, and 4g come with 1.7mm tips. THE EDGE OF NATURAL FLOATS! All the current and new Natural floats are made to be as durable as possible, with the exclusive Elastilex Paint Finish giving them incredible resistance to the elements and wear and tear, including the line digging into the body of the float. This particular paint finish means there is a very thin elastic wrap around the body, that not only secures the whole float in place, and prevents body damage when catching large numbers of fish. We also made a very conscious decision to make all the Natural floats from high quality Balsa, which enables us to make the body of the float as small as possible to offer minimal resistance and drag. Balsa is also heavier than the foam that is often used, which on rough natural venues in challenging conditions means the balsa bodies are more stable.
