OMEX Speed System - Single Coil

The speed system from Omex combines a rev limiter and shift light in a single compact unit. The unit includes an external ultra bright 10mm LED shift light complete with bezel for dashboard mounting whilst the rev limit features Omex soft cut technology with an operating range of 3,000 RPM to 20,000 RPM for 2 cylinder and 4 cylinder, 12,000 RPM for 6 cylinder and 10,000 for 8 cylinder engines. This rev limiter is available in two options of single coil and twin coil and is not suitable for CDI ignition systems.    All Omex microprocessor based shift lights and rev limiters feature Omex's acclaimed method of calibration. Shift point and rev limit is set independently of the car's tachometer, thereby removing any instrument error by incrementing in steps of 100 RPM by simply pressing a button on the unit. Precise digital timing ensures response within one engine revolution.To determine the type of rev limiter required please check the ignition layout. Cars with a plug lead for each cylinder and a coil lead will need the single coil version, if there are coil packs you will need the twin coil version ( two or four leads for a four cylinder with no coil lead ) Cars with coils on the plug are unable to use this rev limiter ( no plug leads just small wires to the plug )
