This winter tyre uses a functional tread pattern design with unique 3D-sipes and advanced tread compounds that provide outstanding performance on a a variety of road surfaces in the colder winter months.The larger V905 tyres use directional tread pattern provides a 'direct feel' and traction on snowy and slushy road surfaces with excellent drainage on wet road surfaces.Yokohama's original multi-layer sipes maximise the edge effect on snowy and ices road surfaces, keeping blocks stable despite the soft compound. The centralised rib-block with a 3D shaped block wall delivers excellent dry stability by supporting the contact surface, Micro-sized groves on the 3D shaped block wall control uneven wear by dispersing stress and heat. The zig zag shaped main straight grooves provide excellent traction with their grooved edge and provide efficient drainage to avoid hydroplaning on wet surfaces. Sold Individually. PLEASE NOTE: Cold weather / winter tyres are generally rated with lower speed ratings than all-season tyres of equivalent sizes. For winter use, it is acceptable to mount tyres with a lower speed index of one level (letter) than equivalent size summer/all weather tyres. EG If the summer tyres have a speed index of W, winter tyres with a speed index of V can be mounted. Speed and driving style should also be adapted to within the constraints of the rating and conditions.
