The APS universal automatic transmission oil cooler kit allows the replacement of an existing damaged or leaking oil cooler or to upgrade for extra cooling for Motorsport, towing or off road applications. The kit comes with the cooler and all the required piping and fitting parts to install.Ideal for replacing or upgrading original equipment oil coolersHeavy duty options available for applications where extra cooling is requiredReduces transmission oil temperatures for better performanceKits include oil cooler, pipe fittings and adaptorsThe included oil cooler pipes can be joined to the existing rubber flexible lines using the joiners in the kit or fitted directly over any existing metal lines. The hose sizing required can be determined by measuring the outer diameter of the metal hose from the transmission or the internal bore of the existing rubber hose. The bore size is sometimes printed on the outside of the existing hose. The cooler can be used to replace the existing cooler which can be either the air-cooled type or a separate chamber in the bottom of the water radiator. This is done by simply joining the new hose to the existing feed and return lines. If extra cooling is required, the kit can be installed before or after the existing cooler which means both the existing and the new cooler will then provide cooling. Again, this is done by joining into the existing lines.Kits are available in the following options:Standard - Includes an oil cooler with a 240mm wide matrix and 10 row (77mm) height.Heavy duty - Includes a larger capacity oil cooler with a 240mm wide matrix and a 13 row (100mm) height.Option 1 - Includes 10mm bore pipe and adaptors to connect to 8mm bore OEM pipeOption 2 - Includes 10mm bore pipe and adaptors to connect to 10mm bore OEM pipeOption 3 - Includes 13mm bore pipe and adaptors to connect to 13mm bore OEM pipeAll kits include an oil cooler, 6ft length of pipe, 2 x male to male adaptors and 'O' ring seals to fit the cooler, 2 x 90 degree unions, 2 x pipe joiners and 4 x hose clips.
