Demon Tweeks Tyre Shaving Service - 5mm Remaining Tread Depth

The tyre shaving process is used to cut tread from a tyre to provide a more stable tread base which increases performance on track. Traditionally tyres were buffed to reduce the tread but this process introduced an unwanted heat build up in the tyre carcass, so instead we cut the tyre, preventing heat build up and ensuring there is no compromise on performance. Reducing the tread depth in this way alleviates the tread block from 'squirming' under heavy cornering, thus giving better grip and feedback in dry conditions.Here at Demon Tweeks we have the facility to be able to shave competition tyres purchased from ourselves or alternatively if you wish to send us your own tyres we are able to shave those.Tyres up to a 24" diameter can be shaved on our state of the art machine, however if you require tyres larger than 20" diameter to be shaved then we would ask that you supply them fitted to your own wheels.Please call our dedicated tyre sales team to discuss your tyre shaving requirements on +44 (0)1978 664468
