This Diesel Blow-Off Valve Controller from Turbo-smart allows you to fit a Blow-Off Valve with a Diesel Engine.Normally the way a diesel engine functions means a Blow-Off Valve can't be fitted in the same way as on a petrol.A Blow-Off Valve releases pressure built up between the throttle body and the turbo. A Diesel won't generally have a throttle body, so this set-up won't work.Instead this kit uses an electronic controller to detect changes in the throttle position, and then uses a solenoid to open the valve when needed.This is perfect for big heavy duty turbodiesel engines running a lot of boost (or petrol engines otherwise unsuitable for conventional BOV fitment) and offers a solution for those wanting the distinctive atmospheric blow off valve noise on smaller engines.The controller is adjustable for sensitivity and opening duration. The valve can be locked in the open position or the closed position, returning the vehicle to normal factory functioning.Kits with a Valve included come with the controller unit, the solenoid, the valve specified, and a fitting kit for the valve.The Controller Only kit comes with the Controller Unit itself, the solenoid, the wiring loom and an accessory pack. The Kompact BOV is suitable for everything up to five cylinder engines. The Type 5 is designed to be loud. The Big Bubba is suitable for the biggest engines making the most boost.
