Phillips and Temro (Wolverine) Zerostart oil pre-heaters offer a simple to fit yet highly effective solution to preheating the oil in your engine or transmission prior to initial start up. The low profile heater pads are designed using aerospace technology and attach to the sump pan or dry sump tank via the 'peel and stick' highly adhesive backing. Heat up time is 45-90 minutes depending on ambient temperature and the wolverine pads are capable of raising the oil to near full operating temperature. The benefits of this are - Improved cold starting (less strain on starter motor and battery) Reduces cold start wear Provides immediate lubrication Reduces emulsification in the oil Full operating temperature is reached far quicker Improves Engine component lifeHow To InstallWolverine pre heater pads are simple to install by following these steps:Wire the cable to a suitable plug (see below for wiring information)Mark the area where the pad is to be fitted. The are must be large enough to accommodate the full area of the padClean the area by removing any paint, grease, oil or other contaminants. Use a cleaner which leaves no residue such as acetone or brake cleaner. Remove the backing from the padPlug in the heater for 3-5 seconds to warm it upApply the heater pad to the cleaned area removing any air pockets using the supplied application toolPlug heater in again for 5-10 secondsOnce again using the installation tool, smooth over to remove any remaining air bubblesSeal the edges of the pad using the supplied silicone sealer. Allow the sealant to fully cure before operating the heater.Included in the kit: Silicone heater pad with 6ft long cable, pad applicator tool, silicone sealer, cable ties for the cord and instructions.Please Note: Some heater pads will be branded Phillips and Temro and some will be branded Wolverine but they are the same products. Please use the table below to select the correct option for your application.*The Phillips and Temro (Wolverine) heaters are available in 12v DC, 24v DC  and 230v / 240v . They are supplied with bare wire ends so will require wiring . The 12v DC and 24v DC version have 2 wires and are not polarity sensitive so can be wired either way. For 230v / 240v option a 13amp plug is required (not included). For wiring purposes the centre wire (green / yellow) is wired to earth pin and the other two wires are to live and neutral (it doesn't matter which way round they are wired).
