The AEM Electronics V3 Water/Methanol Injector (WMI) & Swirl Generator Kit joins the range of water/methanol accessories on offer and is a direct replacement/upgrade to the previous V2 injector design. They achieve measurable improvements in reducing air inlet charge temperatures, by as much as 100 degrees in some applications, increase your vehicle's anti-knock index, allowing reliable boost pressure increases and advanced ignition timing, without using high octane racing fuels, and due to the "steam-cleaning" effect of burning a water/methanol mix, reduce the carbon deposit build-up in your engine and potentially improve fuel economy.All of these performance improvements are dependent on the control and effectiveness of a highly atomised precision spray of Water/Methanol mix, injected into the vehicle's air intake system. AEM's innovative injector design uses a unique swirl generator technology, that improves atomisation to deliver faster inlet temperature cooling and uses less fluid to maintain inlet air cooling performance. This results in increased run times from a single water/methanol tank fill*, reducing fill time and overall running costs. In like for like testing (V3 250cc WMI nozzle and the V2 250cc WMI nozzle) the V3 achieved equivalent cooling temperatures but 6.5 seconds faster and in comparative tests (V3 250cc injector against a larger V2 500cc injector) the V3 achieved equivalent cooling temperatures and speed, but with significantly less fluid (almost 44% reduction).
