Fantastic campsite with flat, specious and own fire pits pitches. The views are amazing. Pizza night, fresh croissants and cafe. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Great facilities and dog friendly. A few walks from the site including the lake nearby. I liked the rules of the campsite too. Thank you for having us.
Such a lovely peaceful campsite. It's evident that the owners really are passionate about their business. Spent two nights here and its got to be one of the best campsite iv visited. Extremely peaceful with grate veiws and good facilities. Surrounded by animals and stunning views, not to mention the cutest cat. The pitch for the tent was fab , you get your won pitch divided by grass and your own little firepit wich makes it feel more secure and cozy. The owns are very warm and welcoming. If your looking for somewhere thats quite , peaceful and offeres a amzing camping experience this is the place.
We stayed for two nights in August, what lovely campsite. No electric made it a quiet site, people sat outside and talked to each other! Lovely pitch and great views from our tent. Lovely and quiet and great fire pits.
We stayed on this site for 2 nights. The site was great for the entire time we were there. It is run by a lovely couple who live in a cottage on site. They open a shop at 6pm for logs and kindling for the campfire places they have on site. They have other small items like Pringles and small games for sale. They even do a fresh pizza night using a pizza oven heated by the logs. The kindling comes with fire lighters. The toilets are clean and have showers in. Outside of the toilets, there are sinks to do the washing up in, which is kept clean and tidy. There are bins to put waste food in and bins for you other rubbish. It is a very quiet site. It doesn’t have the best phone signal but it works further up the hills. There are lovely views from the site and further away with a lake very close. There are some animals on site such as goats (in a pen) and chickens which roam around. There is signage on the way in to say they are wandering. While pulling up in the village , there are cows that roam free so might be in the road. The site doesn’t accept caravans as no waste disposal and the roads leading up to the site aren’t suitable for towing anything. They are single track, two way country roads. There is no electricity on site either. We have enjoyed our two nights so much, we are planning to come back same time next year.
An absolutely cracking location for a campsite with really spacious flat pitches, fire pits, great toilet/shower facilities and after one extremely long and hilly cycle ride (all my own fault) possibly one of the best pizzas around. Also not forgetting the lovely and friendly owners making everything perfect.
