We were looking forward to our first visit at Gilbeys and it didn’t disappoint. Very friendly service and food was delicious, although we were expecting a bit stronger Greek flavours . Everything cooked freshly while we were enjoying our drinks. Can highly recommend!
Absolutely fabulous Mediterranean food and wine. Really wonderful welcome and service so good we booked to back again within a few days. Lots of options for veggies, pescetarian and and meat eaters! I would highly recommend.
We held our wedding party at Gilbey’s Bistro in Marske and it was nothing short of amazing. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing not only delicious but served in such generous portions that it just kept coming! No one was left hungry, and every dish was cooked to perfection. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire event. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us and our guests feel genuinely looked after from the moment we arrived till the end. The décor is beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Stylish, cosy, and full of charm it added so much to the overall experience with the addition of our own personal touch for the occasion. We honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. Gilbey’s made our wedding party unforgettable, and we’re so grateful for their hard work and hospitality. Highly recommended for any special occasion and most definitely recommend the tiramisu ❤️!
My friend and I came here for food today. The cafe was quite busy so service took a little longer which we knew would happen. We both ordered a Frappe each, they were lovely. We both also ordered chicken gyros which came with chips and salad and with a pot of tzatziki. The food was lovely, we paid around 17 pounds each for the gyros which we thought was a little overpriced but as an independent cafe was understandable. Friendly staff, lots of vegetarian options available, lovely interior and a relaxing environment. Would visit again :)
Perfect date night! The food was incredible, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing. I couldn’t rate it high enough. The staff was extremely welcoming and made sure we had the best experience. If you want a chilled dining experience with exceptional Greek food, book here!
