We popped in here for a pint on a very wet Saturday and loved the place. The manager was really friendly and helpful. The building is quirky but not so much that it's not for for purpose and is the sort of place I would love to spend my weekends by a fire drinking with friends. We particularly loved the faux barrel fronts for the cask beers behind the bar. The location is great with a decent sized free car park a couple of minutes walk away. Three real ales on, all of which were from three brothers. If I had one minor suggestion it would be to maybe have two Three Brothers on permanently and have a rotating guest ale (because obviously this would suit me more π€£). Overall a thoroughly great experience and one will are looking to repeat, but when I'm not driving, in the very near future. Can't recommend you trying this place enough if you are nearby or passing ... Especially if you love your ale and some quirky surroundings.
Love this micro pub - 70βs vibe. Great artwork, great music
New management are great. A lot cleaner too. Great ales, and they brought back the Sunday deal Β£2.50 a pint for ales. π
The young lady behind the bar has turned this venue around. It went from a lovely oldie local to a less savoury clientele when it was taken over. I avoided the place as looking through the windows on the morning after, to see discarded pizza boxes on the floor and ripped seats, glasses piled on the bar.......let's just say, it wasn't the first place that sprung to mind for a quiet pint or three and a bit of banter. However, the place has undergone a tidy up and the young lady behind the bar keeps it running perfectly. She could do with a bit of help sometimes but non the less, it's now my choice for our impromptu family gatherings. (Sorry pool players) We tend to take it over as so many of us are competitive π€¦ Great little pub, even better in the winter when the fire is crackling away in the background. π
My partner and I passed this micro bar on the way to eat out. We were so intrigued that we decided to call in on the way back. The place is really cool, has a great atmosphere, the lady behind the bar was great. To top it all off the smugglers beer was beautiful and incredibly cheap too!!!! Along with being dog friendly!
