We have eaten many wonderful meals here before, but this was our first time staying the night. We absolutely loved it! Beautiful, very spacious room, that was impeccably clean. Extremely comfortable bed, and very well appointed amenities. The service was great, and we will definitely stay again when in the area.

We stopped here for lunch on a weekday in the summer holidays. The setting was great with views of the river and the bridge. The beer garden was a good size and well maintained. The food was reasonably priced and the quality was good. There was a good selection of ales/beers but only one larger.

Ordered the steak pie, took a long time to come. The pie was served with chips and peas with a gravy. All tasted good, but for £20 I feel perhaps more effort on presentation and possibly slightly more fancy veg rather than a load of peas on the plate. But it did taste good and a great gravy

Stayed in the Finghall Room which was lovely and spacious, comfortable bed and all the luxuries you would expect from a great hotel. We dined in the restaurant and the food was lovely, the service was very good and quick. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, fresh and hot, all in all, we will be back - thank you
