Visited 7 months ago for an 80th Birthday meal, wasnt disappointed then, so returned for another 80th today. 8 steak pies ordered and each was excellent 👌. Brother in law had a butchers mix grill and was very impressed and better than the one here 7 months ago. Portions were massive and excellent value. Some squeezed a pudding in..Rude not too.. Again absolutely lovely. Would highly recommend this pub for food..

As I was staying in the Pastures Hotel for two nights for work I decided to book in here on the first night with intentions of going somewhere else the second evening. But after not realising they did carveries each weekday evening I decided to book here again the second evening instead. The first night I had the Dirty Burger. It came with two 3oz burgers, shredded pulled pork, two fried onion rings, two strips of bacon, one fried egg and all the trimmings: it was a huge burger beset by a bun. Included were coleslaw and chunky chips. I must say it was delicious but the sheer amount of the portion I genuinely could not finish everything. The second night I decided on the carvery. The choice of meat was Gammon, Beef and Turkey. Im not a fan of gammon and due to Christmas nearing I didn’t want turkey so opted for the beef. Glad I did as the beef was incredibly tender and very tasty indeed. The server placed the carved beef onto the plate so much so there was little room for the veggies and roasties. To remember there was Yorkshire Pudding, mash potatoes, carrots, sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, roast potatoes… and some other tubs of others trimmings to add. The staff were very helpful and asked if things were ok. I sat in the adult section in the quiet area. There is a family section too. Overall this establishment is a great place for food. Yes by all means check out the menu but you will definitely enjoy the carvery!

Lovely place, very friendly and polite staff, very helpful. Fine selection of real ale. Food excellent, and served promptly, absolutely no flaws. I came to commemorate my grandfather at the local remembrance service, my stay and thr excellent service made my whole trip most enjoyable. Many thanks indeed. Heaven looked after my culinary and alcoholic requirements and did a fab job. I'll definitely be back.

As a family we met at the pastures for a meal and let the 5 grandchildren play in the play area for an hour, the whole experience was amazing! Friendly bar staff, and a great atmosphere, we will be visiting more often, Claire and Mel were very welcoming and I cannot fault anything, thank you

First time in the pastures since the new menu was introduced. I was going to pick from the menu until I noticed the carvery was now on early evenings. What a great choice the food was and the meat choice excellent. I and my family look forward to returning soon as we have done so in the past on many occasions. Thanks to all the staff for their friendly approach and service.
