It's a warm and friendly cafe, the food has always been fantastic and fairly priced. We came twice already and ordered ham and cheese toast with small tea and a ham omelet. Another day we had a small breakfast, bacon and cheese toast with two cups of small tea. Love the tomato on my plate although can't take a good picture of it. I will come back again soon. A lovely breakfast to fresh start our morning. By fishenjoylife

Nice lady who served us,shame about the food!! Years ago used to come in here and was best breakfast in Mexborough, how things change... Was quiet and nigh on empty ,Went in with family me and Mrs had large breakfast,my son a regular, first thing was the cold beans for all of us,my egg was undercooked ,bacon was horrid ,my son didn't eat his after one taste ,I forced mine down ,everything was swimming in grease, toast soaked in it ,I got a present of black thread off someone's clothes in my mushrooms ,which apart from from the thread was best part of the breakfast! Sausages were just passable ,again I forced them down as I was hungry...overall non of us finished our breakfasts and for £16 left very disappointed... building was cold ,could literally see your breath! Was run down and dilapidated,I'm now sat here with gut ache typing this ,won't be back... shame as was one of my favourite cafes, that is now clearly struggling....

Lunch time treat turned into a wasted valuable lunch break. I called in at 11:25am, before the lunch time rush to have a coffee and something to eat before going on to my next job. The person who appeared to be the manager was stressing out over being short staffed, people were trying to help by clearing used tables so they could sit down. The manager complained at a customer for putting the dirty dishes on the counter. The member of staff that took my order was useless. I asked for a tuna melt toastie and a latte. She couldn't spell and wasn't able to use the till. The manager took over using the till after 3 errors made by her colleague. I sat down and found myself waiting over 30mins for a coffee. I asked how long till my toastie would be ready and was told another 5 mins. 10 mins later my toastie arrived. It was dry tuna with a blob if mayonnaise and onion in the middle! I went to the counter and asked "I ordered a tuna melt toastie with onion, I thought tuna melt was tuna and cheese, there's isn't any cheese in this". The manager proceeded to say "I've just done that". I said "I know" and she said the order just said tuna and onion! By this time I had to leave. I'd wasted 45mins of a valuable lunch break and only managed to have a coffee for my lunch. I then worked a further 4hrs without the opportunity to eat. While I was sat in the cafe other people were complaining about their wait. People were walking up to the door and turning away as tables were empty but not cleared. The manager didn't smile once while I was there. This could have gone so differently if staff were friendlier, informed me of the potential wait time for my order and repeated my order to me once taken. I wasn't even offered a refund. The manager just looked at me blankly. She did say sorry, but it wasn't meant as a sorry. Needless to say I will not be visiting this cafe again which is a shame as I will we working in Mexborough a lot. I will be advising my colleague's the same.
