We had an amazing experience at being able to purchase our first home and to be able to be on the property ladder. There were definitely stressful times during the process of purchasing our home but that was mainly the nerves and insecurity of what we were doing due to being first time buyers. All of the process was dealt with with such professionalism that the whole process went very well. A special mention as to go too Rachel, Megan and channon for making it all possible 😀

My experience with William H Brown in Mexborough was disappointing and did not reflect the level of professionalism I expected. While the initial valuation and consultation were handled well, the quality of service declined once the agreement was signed. Communication became inconsistent, and I often had to chase for updates on viewings, feedback. ie: Property completion date 1 October last contact from WH Brown 19 July. Voice mail left on completion day requesting a call back. When I finally got through to the office, no one knew what it was about or who had left message! The marketing of my property was poorly managed, with errors in the listing.Despite raising these issues several times, corrections were slow to appear, suggesting a lack of care and attention to detail. Although individual staff members were polite, there seemed to be little coordination between them, which led to confusion and delays. Overall, the process felt disorganised and reactive, rather than proactive and client-focused. I gave 1 star as the only thing they did well was showing potential purchases around. Although they rang me to ask very strange questions ie Did it have a central heating boiler and where was it? Well it was in there description and in full view. Selling a property is a major financial decision, and I had expected a higher standard of service and communication from a well-known estate agent. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with the Mexborough branch. I hope the company takes steps to improve its customer service and internal communication, but based on my experience, I would not feel confident recommending them.

Channon has truly been my guardian angel through my house purchase. From the very start she was supportive, patient, and always there to guide me with kindness and reassurance. I honestly couldn’t have done it without her. Megan and the rest of the team were also incredible — always ready to help, answer questions, and make the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. Together they went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful to have had such a caring team by my side. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

With the help of William H Brown we recently sold our parents home of over 50 Years. All the staff at Mexborough were excellent. From the valuer, photographer, the Team in the Mexborough office, all were punctual, informative and friendly. Special mention to the ladies we had most dealings with, Shannon, Meghan and Sam.
