Home of Sir Samuel Alexander Sadler's statue, a prominent civic figure in the late 1800;s and early 1900's.

Very helpful staff, and really useful for tracing your family tree, as it contains all of the local parish registers, some on micro fiche and some as transcripts in thick bound books. There's also computers to use, but my only gripe is that it is not large enough to accommodate all of the people who visit it, plus for using a computer or the micro fiche machines you do have to book over the phone.
