When I visited, it was quiet and mostly empty. Its a good pub. I wouldn't fault it and probably bring friends here's who enjoy a proper pub. Drinks aren't expensive but we only bought ciders. The building itself could definitely use some love though, but nice for a quick drink and easy atmosphere.
Came here to celebrate New Years Eve with a group of friends. Upon being on the dance floor one of our friends was kicked out for no reason at all and was accused of dealing drugs which certainly wasn’t the case and was giving out glow sticks. Absolutely appalling, doormen are incredibly racist.
Disgusting place, doormen are racist threw my friend out for giving me a glow stick (everyone else had them it was NYE) as they were insisting it was drugs! Didn’t bother searching him just threw him straight out and spoke to us appallingly. But none of us were forced to leave and we were all doing the same thing it was plainly due to the colour of his skin.
Went here for New Year’s Eve to celebrate with friends. Was getting served at the bar to then turn round to see one of my friends had been kicked out. After speaking to others we came to the conclusion it was because he gave another friend a glow stick. We were all doing this to each other. Doormen assumed he was giving drugs out which certainly wasn’t the case. I’m appalled !
Disgusting behaviour from the door staff, kicked my boyfriend out for giving my friend a glow stick, because they thought it was drugs even though everyone was wearing them as it was new year eve!!! Didn’t even bother searching him I will definitely not be coming in again!!!!
