Had lunch here yesterday. Really friendly and helpful staff behind the bar. Food was good value and was nice, not the best I've ever had but certainly better than most and something I'd be happy to have again. The chips in particular were really nice and taste even better than they look. The only downside for me and this is mostly a one off but their was no atmosphere. This is partially due to it being a lunchtime but it was also because their was some drilling work going on in the gents toilets and the noise was a bit intrusive and off-putting whilst I was eating. As I say, a one off I'm sure but was annoying enough to be mentioned. Overall good place though and I wouldn't let the atmosphere issues put me off return visits.

I agree the mash was very salty and I told the sheff. The next week I went again and it was spot on. Definitely one of the best freshly cooked Sunday lunches around with a competitive price. Will be going again
