Visited these guys to watch the rugby whilst in town to see a band. Cool staff, decent bar prices, and a number of large TVs available displaying different sporting events. The absolute best bit was a couple of customers noticed we were searching for some seats with a good view of the TV, and he gave us their table as they were about to leave - how generous was that... Didn't eat here as the menu was rather generic and there wasn't any vegan offerings that I fancied. Overall a good spot with decent prices.
Staff Personable, Pub has Downstairs Bar and Upstairs Room, TV's to both.Good Menu Varied Menu, and Good Beers. Pub on Main Street outside of Shopping Arcade, approx Twenty minutes walk to Football Ground. Home and Away Fans together in Pub.
First, you have to manoeuvre through the smokers at the entrance. The bar staff are very pleasant and friendly and service was fast and efficient. Food was not so good. Fish and chips tasted like pollock and the chips were cheap and frozen. The meal was really substandard.
Actually went and had a wee drink on my own and was made to feel very welcome.. Will definitely be going again next time I'm shopping.
Had sausage and mash here which was lovely. My brother had the fish and chips. The fish and chips looked like a child's portion but was OK for a light bite . The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I have is that the downstairs disabled toilet was a disgrace. It smelled like a man's urinal and was filthy . Their is a baby changing station on the wall . There is no way I would ever take a baby or a disabled person into this toilet. The key is left in the door so obviously everyone is going to choose this toilet rather than go further. I totally think that they need to rethink the leaving of the key in the door plus buy a bottle of bleach and scrub the whole room out .
