We visited the Mint leaf for Christmas lunch (this review has been late a coming!) and were blown away by the amazing buffet spread! It was rich, authentic, and wonderfully nostalgic of home-cooked food. We’ve been here before for their regular fare, and dishes like the porotta and beef are absolutely heavenly and keep drawing us back! The ambience is lovely, with a lively, bustling crowd that still allows for easy conversation. Above all, the food is consistently delectable and comforting, the kind that keeps you coming back for more. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Keralan flavours!

I wish to formally report a serious food safety and hygiene incident that occurred at a restaurant during my visit. Upon ordering chicken mandi, I discovered a piece of metal scrubber steel embedded in the food served to us. The presence of a foreign metal object in prepared food poses a significant risk to consumer health and safety. We immediately informed the waitress of this issue. However, she failed to acknowledge the seriousness of the matter, showed no concern, and did not offer an apology or take corrective action. We requested that the manager be informed, but no appropriate response was provided at that time. When the owner later attended our table, he stated that the presence of the metal scrubber was “normal” and explained that the scrubber is expensive and therefore not replaced regularly. This statement suggests a lack of proper food safety controls and a failure to adhere to acceptable hygiene standards. It further indicates that cost-saving measures may be prioritised over customer health and safety. I believe this incident represents a breach of food hygiene and safety regulations and warrants investigation by the relevant authority to prevent potential harm to other customers.

We ordered the special of the day – Kadai Chicken with Garlic Coriander Naan. The portions were generous, and the quality of the food really stood out. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience,

Totally disappointed with the service and food. Heard good reviews from friends , thats why give it a try today. Chicken ularth seemed to be chicken roast... And it doesn't have any connection with the description provided in their menu. Beef tasted old and dry ( may be pre-cooked meat). Wish to believe that its only a bad day of their's.

This is honestly the best authentic Indian food I’ve had in the UK. Every dish tastes like it’s made with real care and proper flavours. The chicken roast and the Todi drink was absolute class!! The staff are incredibly polite, and the couple who owns the restaurant are welcoming and humble. Absolutely loved it — can’t wait to come back!
