Uno Momento

Dined here last week. Got the spicy squid starter which was as tough as a boot. As you can see also came with a tonne of sauce and rice? The Lasagne was much better looking than it was tasting. It was around 3mm deep and the mince didn’t even taste like mince. Chips were fine. Service was fine but had to ask for the bill like 3 times after a 15 minute wait. Same for the card machine. I will caveat by saying this was 2 courses for like £12 or something so reasonable prices but you get what you pay for

Waited 1 hour and 25 minutes for delivery. Eventually called the restaurant to find out where it was, the waitress who answered then went to get the manager. Rather than the manager coming on the phone and telling us they had messed up, they hung up the phone and cancelled the order. We are now having to cook our own meal at 10:30 at night. Long time customers lost due to poor customer service.

Great Saturday lunch, the two course special is fab value - quality and quantity amazing. Staff so friendly and exchanged banter with us. My highlight was black pudding and cheeses starter - amazing and looked like a huge profiterole. Brilliant time had by the three of us.

Absolutely unbelievable food one of my favourites... I wasn't sure if it would be as good as unos in yarm, but the food was actually for better, which is a massive compliment. My son got fish fingers and chips and which was all home cooked and looked amazing, surprising for a kids plate. My partner got a steak with peppercorn steak, which she described as one of the best steaks she had eaten , she was stuffed and still didn't want to leave any. I got the hot shot parmesan and let me just say it was by far one of the best parmos I've ever eaten, it was cooked to perfection the toppings were generous and under the cheese a perfect amount of bechamel and the chips don't get me started... delicious. Staff were very friendly and scomodating to my son, who did make a bit of a mess. Great experience, will 100% be returning !

Third time going here. We travel through from Hartlepool especially. Busiest we’ve ever seen it tonight but the service was still impeccable and the food was, as always, spot on. Our server, young lass with the blond hair and super white teeth, was hilarious and really made our night. I still can’t believe how cheap this place is when the food they are turning out is as good as anywhere in Boro (within their price/style of food category). I even mentioned I hadn’t eaten all day and she snook “food needed ASAP” on the order for the kitchen and it arrived really fast. Class little place.
