This uttapam restaurant is an absolute gem! The uttapams are perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, loaded generously with fresh vegetables and bursting with authentic South Indian flavors. Every bite tastes homemade and comforting, yet beautifully refined. The chutneys and sambar are rich, fresh, and clearly made with care—they elevate the entire experience. The service is warm and welcoming, and the cleanliness and consistency really stand out. If you love real, soulful uttapams done right, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Ordered chicken biryani from Uttapam Restaurant. The quantity and pricing were good, and the customer service was friendly and responsive, which I really appreciated. However, the taste needs improvement — the biryani was low on salt and spice, the rice felt quite dry, and the chicken didn’t seem very fresh. If the flavors are enhanced and the freshness is improved, it has the potential to be fantastic. Hoping to see better next time!

I recently visited Uttapam Restaurant in Middlesbrough after hearing so many recommendations, and I must say, it truly lived up to the hype! I ordered a dosa along with vadas, and both were absolutely delicious. The dosa was perfectly crisp and golden, served with fresh chutney, sambar, and a touch of pickle – authentic in taste and very satisfying. The vadas were light, crunchy on the outside, and fluffy inside – just the way they should be. The portion sizes were generous, and the flavors took me right back to South India. The quality of food exceeded my expectations, and the service was warm and welcoming. If you’re in Middlesbrough and craving authentic South Indian food, Uttapam is definitely a must-visit

Very disappointed with the food, especially when they claim to be typical Andhra style (from Telengana ?). Read a few good reviews in the past & tried the Lamb Sukka & Lamb Biriyani. The Lamb itself was VERY CHEWY & Overcooked - could not even eat a few pieces & the Biriyani was NOT prepared properly ! The masala was dry & taste was no where near 😕! How difficult is to cook these simple dishes ? The cook & management needs a bit passion & attention to the quality of their food. Don't think I'll ever visit Uttapam unless I hear its improved!!!
