I visited Hyderabad Kitchen in Middlesbrough (199 Borough Rd, TS4 2BN), and from the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely delighted. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the place looked fantastic. As for the food, both the starters and the main courses were absolutely soul-satisfying. It truly felt like I was dining back in my home country. I usually prefer spicy dishes, and they delivered exactly the flavors I love. I highly recommend the Kodi Veppudu, Chilli Chicken, Double Egg Chicken Fried Rice, and the noodles. The service was warm and welcoming—just like being at home town . A special thanks to Madhu for making our dinner memorable. I really appreciate the hospitality, and I hope everyone else has the same great experience.
I just ordered the Chicken 65 and this is how it arrived. Please check the image — the portion is very small and definitely doesn’t feel worth £6.50. Really disappointed with the quantity.
We went for the first time, and service was very good and the food was really tasty and fresh . We will definitely go again.
I ordered a combo from Hyderabadi Kitchen, and honestly, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. First off, they don’t accept card payments — only cash or account transfers. In this day and age, that’s really inconvenient. Not everyone carries cash or has the time to make a transfer while ordering food. Then came the food: • Lamb Biryani — This was nowhere close to real biryani. It tasted like plain ghee rice with lamb chunks. No aroma, no flavour, nothing that even reminded me of Hyderabad. • Chicken 65 — Mostly chopped onions to bulk up the quantity. It felt more like “onion chicken” than Chicken 65. • Fried Rice — Completely drenched in soy sauce and turned out black in color. Way too salty and overpowering. Overall, the meal lacked authenticity and taste. The name Hyderabadk Kitchen raises expectations, but the food and experience were far from what Hyderabad-style food should be. Definitely not worth repeating. Reply to the management !! Dear Hyderabadi Kitchen Management, Your response is misleading. We did place an order with you. It was on Diwali day around lunchtime, and the order was collected in person and paid for in cash. Just because it doesn’t show in your records does not mean the experience was not genuine — it means there may be an issue with how cash orders are recorded on your side. I have also checked other reviews, and I noticed that whenever there is a negative review, instead of accepting feedback or looking into the issue, you simply claim the review is fake. People don’t have the time or interest to sit and create false reviews. When someone reviews, it’s because they actually experienced something and are sharing it honestly. So please, if you cannot apologize or take responsibility, stop making up stories and dismissing genuine customer experiences. That approach reflects poorly on the business, not on the customer. My review stands, and it is based on a real experience.
