I visit the Chef fish shop every Tuesday with my son and he has a fish patties with chips and peas and I have mini fish chips and peas and I find the food and service excellent which is always comfortable in the premises and it's always clean and tidy. The staff in there are always pleasant and the lady who takes the orders is always partially pleasant and full of smiles.
Ordered the fish & chips special for 2 with tea and bread was included. Paid £19, which was very reasonable. Staff were very noisy but also friendly. The food was very hot, just what we needed on a chilly day. Will definitely call back next time we're in the area.

My grandson is very very fussy. When we go to Middlesbrough he wants to get McDonald's, which I hate. Took him and my wife here today. Grandson got chicken nuggets and chips, which he loved.👍. Wife got a fish chips and peas. Fish was a great portion. I got 2sausages, chips and beans. All good portions and tasty. Staff were great. At last a nice place to eat in Middlesbrough. I'll definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff.
Absolutely disgusting service and attitude from staff , not only did I witness the employees arguing amongst themselves I also witnessed and experienced it myself first hand. I would avoid this place not only do you have to pay an extra £5 to sit inside, the quality and portions are disgusting. Also not friendly to blue light card holders .
